January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month at ski resorts across the country. If you've never skied or snowboarded before, or if you have friends or family that you've been meaning to get on the mountain, January is the perfect time to give it a try! Although not every mountain participates in Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month, most mountains offer some sort of deal to entice new skiers or riders to get out there and enjoy the snow. Here are 3 of the best deals that we've found:
Cannon’s Tuckerbrook Learning Area is a great place for beginners to learn. Tuckerbrook is right next to the base lodge, but also far enough away from the commotion of the main mountain. This deal is available on weekends, which makes it a great option!
This northern Vermont gem has a long history of getting people into the sport, and they are continuing that tradition with this program. Not only will you get a great deal on lessons, rentals, and lift tickets, once you complete the program you'll receive a discount card good for the rest of the season!
This is perhaps the best beginner deal in the ski industry. Ragged just wants to get more people into the sport, and they are willing to do whatever it takes to get newbies out on the hill by removing all barriers to entry.
