Welcome to Issue #3 of the Lift Ticket Rundown for the 2026/27 ski season. Believe it or not, Ski Ward fired up its magic carpet this weekend thanks to its unique snowmaking system, and turns were made! It won't be long before mountains across the region fire up the guns. Until then, preseason deals and specials keep popping up, and we've rounded up some of the best and most unusual ones in this issue. First things first: If you need new goggles, this is a must-read.

Featured Gear Deal: Detour Ski Goggles

If you're shopping for new goggles this season, you have to check out Detour. The quality is immediately apparent when you open the package, right down to the included hard case. These goggles offer features you'd expect from brands charging $200–300+ for a pair. Honestly, it's shocking how little they cost. Their high-contrast technology helps you spot changes in terrain, the magnetic lenses allow you to change out in seconds for different conditions, and there's anti-fog technology built into the inner lens.

Detour offers two styles: PowPow, with a classic cylindrical lens, and Key, with a curved spherical lens. Both deliver the same great lens technology and come in a variety of colors and configurations.

No Boundaries members get 20% off all Detour goggles with code NB20. That brings prebuilt goggles down to just $76, or $92 if you build your own and choose your frame, lens, and strap. For this level of quality, that's an incredible deal. These aren't some knock-offs made in China; Detour's goggles are manufactured in Italy, and you'll be incredibly happy with the quality but even happier with the price.

Now, onto the ticket deals. This week's theme: ticket packs and freebies galore.

  • Ski New Hampshire offers discounted, transferable any-day tickets to most NH mountains. They just went on sale last week* and some of the bigger resorts like Loon and Bretton Woods are already sold out, but there are still some really great deals like:

    •  $79 for Ragged

    • $33 for Dartmouth Skiway

    • $91 for Gunstock

    • And many more

*SkiNH Tickets went on sale abruptly last week, but we were able to notify our members through an Insider Alert before any tickets sold out. Make sure you sign up for Insider Alerts so you don't miss the next great deal.

  • Many ski areas offer ticket packs at the beginning of the season. Here are some of the best offers:

    • $185 for 3 tickets to Tenney.  Transferable, no blackouts.

    • $169 for 2, or $239 for 3 tickets at Pleasant Mountain. Non-transferable, no blackouts, night skiing included.

    • Waterville's Triple Play Pass: 3 days for $289 (no blackouts) or $209 (weekdays only). Non-transferable, but the Plus pass includes night skiing on days you use it.

    • Quad Packs from Ragged Mountain. 4 transferable, no blackout tickets for $299, or 4 Mon-Thurs tickets for $199.

    • 4 tickets to Jay Peak for $329. No blackouts, transferable.

  • The First Tracks Northeast Snow Show is in Portland, ME on November 7th and 8th. The first 300 entrants each day score a FREE ticket to Black Mountain of Maine. The Maine Outdoor Film Festival is part of the show on Saturday (separate $30 ticket required) but the first 50 people in line get a FREE lift ticket to Sugarloaf.

  • The Maine Outdoor Film Festival continues on December 4th in Freeport, ME.  Your $30 ticket to the show includes a FREE lift ticket to Mt. Abram.

  • The new Warren Miller movie has screenings all over the Northeast. It's being shown 3 times on December 29th in Laconia, NH, but this show is advertising "lift ticket offers" to all attendees, although the organizers haven't shared the details. In the past, these shows have given out some pretty good deals.

  • Live in Connecticut and looking for a seasonal equipment rental? Get it through Mount Southington by 10/31 and they'll give you two free lift tickets and free tune ups all season. Not bad.
