Northeast resorts that allow free uphill travel

Ski resorts that allow uphill travel are the perfect place to use your Uphill Adapters and get introduced to ski touring. As the popularity of touring has exploded in recent years, many ski resorts have implemented formal uphill policies. We've compiled a list of the mountains in the Northeast that allow uphill travel for free. Many other resorts charge a very minimal fee, and several others don't have a formal uphill policy at this time.

Before using your Uphill Adapters and skinning at any resort, please make sure to fully understand and comply with that resort's policies and procedures. Mountains are constantly revising their policies, and many reserve the right to temporarily ban uphill travel at any time for safety reasons. Nearly all of the mountains below also have designated uphill routes and times and do not allow uphill travel on any other trails. It's critical that everyone follows the rules so we can all continue to enjoy uphill travel at resorts safely. Please only use the information below as a guide and check with each mountain before skinning.
